YBCA is easily accessible via public transit, car, bike, or on foot.
The main entrance to our galleries and forum event space is at 701 Mission Street.
The main entrance to our theater is 700 Howard Street.
Designed by Fumihiko Maki, it houses YBCA’s visual art galleries, forum event space, film screening room, visitor services desk, and administrative offices.
Designed by James Polshek and Todd Schliemann, it houses YBCA’s world-class stage as well as production offices.
Box Office Services
YBCA’s Visitor Services desk is located in the Grand Lobby of the Gallery & Forum Building.
Tickets to all YBCA-curated programs may be purchased from the Visitor Services desk, which also serves as the box office. Visitor Services’ hours coincide with gallery hours, as well as those of scheduled performances, film screenings, and special events.
For events taking place in the Blue Shield of California Theater at YBCA, the theater box office in the lobby of 700 Howard Street opens 60 minutes prior to the scheduled program. At all other times, please visit the Visitor Services desk in the Gallery & Forum building for assistance.
