At YBCA, we continue to prioritize the health and well-being of our community. We have revised and enhanced our health and safety protocols to align with guidance from all local, state, and federal public health requirements. Please help take care of each other and review the following policies as you plan your visit:
All individuals ages 5+ will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, in order to enter YBCA. Each person ages 18+ must also provide a photo ID.
Not yet vaccinated? Visit vaccines.gov for local resources and information.
Please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times. YBCA recommends an N95 or equivalent mask. Mask use is required for all staff and guests ages 2+ regardless of vaccination status. Masks will be provided for everyone as needed.
Please visit the CDC’s website for additional mask resources and information.
Who is required to show proof of vaccination?
Each person ages 5+ must be fully vaccinated, which means it’s been at least 14 days following the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or a minimum of 14 days following the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Not yet vaccinated? Check out local resources and information.
What are accepted forms of proof of vaccination?
Per SFDPH guidelines, before entering YBCA, you may present a paper vaccination card, a photo of a valid vaccination card, or digital vaccination card, as well as a personal ID (for guests 18+).
Valid forms of proof of vaccination include:
When does this policy go into effect? Will this policy be in place for the foreseeable future?
Proof of vaccination went into effect at YBCA starting Thursday, November 4, 2021 and is in effect until further notice. This policy will be updated as needed to reflect current local health and safety policies.
What is the vaccination policy for YBCA staff, artists, community partners, and commercial rentals?
YBCA is instituting a similar policy of verification of COVID-19 vaccination for staff, onsite partners, guests, or others. Additional health and safety policies for community partners and commercial rentals will be listed on each individual event page.
Will you offer accommodations or exemptions to this policy?
YBCA does not offer accommodations for unvaccinated individuals.
I’m fully vaccinated. Do I still have to wear a mask to visit?
Yes. Everyone must wear a mask indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
Do I still have to wear a mask at events with food and beverages?
Yes. Masks are still required for everyone, except when actively eating or drinking. Please put your mask back on while no longer eating.
Please visit the CDC’s website for additional mask resources and information.
Is YBCA cleaned more frequently than before?
Yes. Surfaces, railings, restrooms, and seating areas are cleaned and disinfected frequently.
Is it safe to be indoors with recirculated air?
YBCA uses the CDC-recommended MERV 13 filters or higher throughout our HVAC systems. Our buildings maximize outside air intake to the fullest extent possible. Doors and windows will remain open in our spaces whenever possible to substantially reduce the risk of community spread of COVID-19.
Please visit the CDC’s website for additional information about cleaning guidelines and air circulation recommendations.
