    At the point where long-held beliefs fall into decline and once-esteemed notions crumble, questions arise about those belief systems. It is at this point that John-Mark Ikeda begins his exploration of the current economic climate. Ikeda deconstructs the iconic business suit — which he equates with the failed economy — stripping it down to its component parts and pinning it to the wall like a specimen, with accompanying business accessories, in an attempt to reconstitute it as a symbol of power.

    Connect is a public art project designed by David Szlasa to activate the exterior of Yerba Buena Center for the Arts as a new platform for creative expression.     The World United Through Dance

    Festival Artistic Directors Carlos Carvajal and CK Ladzekpo curated a thrilling line-up for the 34th Annual San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. Weekend one at the Novellus Theater features nine dance companies and includes innovative works by masterful dancers and numerous cross-cultural collaborations.

    El Tunante (Peruvian Marinera), Sewam Dance - Eddie Madril (Native American Hoop Dance), Chhandam Youth Dance Company (Indian Kathak), La Tania (Spanish Flamenco), Hālau o Keikiali`i (Hawaiian Hula Kahiko and Pahu), OngDance Company (Korean Contemporary), China Dance School and Theatre (Chinese Classical), Collage Dance Ensemble (Eastern European Contemporary Folk), and Las Que Son Son (Cuban-Haitian).
