Join Bay Area author, designer and educator Lynda Grose for a dynamic conversation on second-hand clothing, sustainability and the fashion industry at this interactive pop-up event. Bring your own thrifted garment or browse a selection from Goodwill to take home. Participants will have the option to add a Goodwill label to their second-hand selection, sewn on by Grose.
This event is part of Grose’s larger work, the Goodwill Stories Project, which aims to bring awareness to social norms related to fashion, branding, and labels associated with second-hand clothes. You’re invited to contribute to the project by sharing your reflection on the hierarchy of branding, shifting social stigmas around second-hand clothes, and taking care of clothing (and each other).
