Join the fun with a free block party in the Mission district on Saturday, August 19 from 12–5pm, featuring food trucks, live music, face painting, giveaways, and activations! Find the celebrations on Excelsior Avenue (between Mission St and London St) and Casa de Apoyo (4834 Mission Street).

Complete with a ribbon cutting, this event marks the completion of the Excelsior Street Furniture Pilot Phase II, a series of streetscape prototypes installed at three different community hubs along the Excelsior Mission Street corridor. The community furniture will provide spaces for residents and visitors to pause, gather, wait for transit, and enjoy local businesses’ offerings.
