Thu December 26th Open 11 AM–5 PM
Curator of community and cultural events
Preston Justice is a kind man who delights in traveling the world and exploring nature with fam. A lifelong Bay Area resident, his perspective is shaped by the generations of migration that preceded his time here.
He has had the good fortune to work and play in many community arts spaces, notably in support of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, and on the Friday night events at the Oakland Museum of California. Through this work he has gotten to know many of the incredible artists of the Bay, to whom all lovers of this region are indebted.
Justice is passionate about intentionally cultivating welcoming spaces for connection. He has witnessed and shared in the lived joy of audiences as we engage with art in community.
In his own artistic pursuits, he is humbled to have been able to absorb traditions of African drum and dance, studying with many generous teachers of these forms both locally and internationally.
