Alien She provides a view into the passion and diversity of Riot Grrrl, a pioneering punk feminist movement that emerged in the early 1990s, examining the continued impact of the movement that emphasized female and youth empowerment, collaborative organization, and DIY ethics through the work of contemporary artists. Featured artists include: Ginger Brooks Takahashi, Tammy Rae Carland, Miranda July, Faythe Levine, Allyson Mitchell, L.J. Roberts, and Stephanie Syjuco.
