Darell W. Fields is the founding principal of Maxine Studio. He teaches visual studies and advanced design research at the University of California, Berkeley, and is the author of the seminal work on architecture and race, Architecture in Black: Theory, Space and Appearance (Bloomsbury Academic, 2015).
