Alexa Treviño (LexMex Art) is a first-generation Mexican American photographer and artist based in the Mission District of San Francisco. She studied photography and fine art at the Academy of Art of San Francisco. In 2009, she co-created Artillery AG, a Latino-owned and operated gallery and studio on 24th and Mission Street. In 2022, Treviño moved into a live/work space to fully dedicate herself to photography. As a portrait artist, her mission is to empower and reflect diverse communities through her work. She has met incredible people from all over the world and is forever grateful to those who have given her the privilege to photograph them. Treviño has been published in Forbes, The New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, KQED, the San Francisco Chronicle, Eater, and Punch Mag. She has exhibited her work in galleries in San Francisco and abroad.
