The Lounge

The Lounge is YBCA’s flexible-use space. Available for FREE to artists, community partner groups and non-profit organizations, The Lounge provides an inviting space for meetings and small events. The room is ADA compliant with free wifi, whiteboards, and a 40” video monitor with HDMI connectivity.

How to make a reservation

Please fill out the Community Lounge Request Form and a member of our Community Experience team will connect with you shortly.

Criteria for use

Community groups and verified 501c3 non-profits: May book up to 1 month in advance.

On the day of your event

Please have your group leader stop in at the front desk on the day of your reservation and be sure to have all attendees adhere to YBCA health and safety protocols.

Who is allowed to use the space?

YBCA Community Partners have first priority. If you are not a community partner and would like to use the space, please email [email protected].

What is the capacity?

40 people maximum, per fire department regulation.

When is it available for use?

Space is available during YBCA’s Open Hours (which are subject to change)

Currently:

Thursday Noon–6 PM
Friday 2–8 PM
Saturday Noon–6 PM
Sunday Noon–6 PM

How much notice do you need to book the space?

We generally need at least 48 hour notice.

Is gallery admission included?

Gallery admission is free to everyone.

What if I need to show a video or powerpoint?

There is a 40” monitor available for you with a lightning connector (MAC) and HDMI cable (PC). The monitor does have speakers. We suggest visiting the space prior to your reservation to ensure you have the correct equipment. Unfortunately, YBCA staff is not available to troubleshoot technology.

What if I need to cancel?

We understand plans can change, and if you need to cancel, simply email [email protected]. We appreciate 36 hours notice, in case another group is on the waitlist.

What furniture is in the room?

Please see the layout here. We also suggest visiting the space prior to your event. Email [email protected] to make an appointment.

Can I move the furniture?

Yes, the space was designed to be flexible. Some of the furniture is moveable, we just ask you return it to the original set up when done.

Can we put up a sign outside the room?

We ask that you limit activities to inside The Lounge. Thanks for understanding.

I need access to a sink/kitchen.

You’re in luck! The Lounge has a small kitchen. Please email [email protected] to discuss your needs and get more information prior to booking the space.

We need access to a bathroom.

There are two private restrooms right next to the Lounge as well as larger bathrooms in the Lobby downstairs that are available for use.
