Wenqing Yan

Wenqing Yan is a Chinese born artist currently living in California. Her childhood under the grey and polluted skies of China inspired her to use art to raise awareness about the environment, and sell art to fundraise for environmental charities. The censorship and lack of freedom under the Chinese government also served as inspirations for her other works, such as Fisheye Placebo, a webcomic about fighting for your freedom. She seeks to use art in popular culture like comics to spread the ideas she believes in.
