Jonathan Carver Moore is the Founder and Director of Jonathan Carver Moore, a contemporary art gallery that specializes in working with emerging and established artists who are BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women. As an openly gay Black male gallerist, Moore is dedicated to advocating for the arts and is an active member in the Bay Area arts’ community. He is the Development Chair of Root Division and he also serves on the Advisory Board at Black [Space] Residency. He is a contributor at Frieze and has interviewed world-renowned photographer and visual activist Zanele Muholi in addition to Bonhams’ Modern + Contemporary African Art Specialist Helene Love-Allotey for the digital journal ARTUCATED.
