Feed the Second Line

Feed the Second Line is a nonprofit organization created by the Krewe of Red Beans in New Orleans, Louisiana. Feed the Second Line has two main goals: creating jobs for New Orleans culture-bearers and building a stronger safety-net for those who embody New Orleans Culture. Their city is blessed with Black Masking Indians, Baby Dolls, Second Lines, Musicians, and artists. But New Orleans is also scarred by generations of poverty, inequality, and racism. Feed the Second Line raises money to buy groceries for the elder culture-bearers and employs musicians to do the shopping. If you love New Orleans culture, they have created a tangible way to give back. To support the folks who ARE the culture.
