Episcopal Community Services

Community service organization

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) has provided essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in San Francisco since 1983, utilizing a holistic approach that addresses the multiple causes leading to homelessness. In 2022, they served more than 13,000 people, guided by a mission to help homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness. ECS has become San Francisco’s largest provider of supportive housing and homeless services, with a continuum of care that includes managing San Francisco’s Adult Coordinated Entry (ACE) system, supportive housing, workforce development and social enterprise, healthy aging services, interim housing, behavioral health services, and rapid rehousing services.
