Benjamin “BJ” McBride

Benjamin “BJ” McBride is an Oakland-based producer whose work sits at the intersection of social justice, music, and community impact. His most recent work is the award-winning documentary When The Waters Get Deep, a collaboration with KQED. He produced and co-directed Dear Beloved which has led to multiple partnerships with creatives in the Bay Area including Today at Apple, XQ America, and The REACH at The Kennedy Center. He currently consults for Empower Initiative and Civic Edge Consulting.
