Public art non profit organization
The Bay Area Mural Program (BAMP) is a nonprofit organization of local artists dedicated to facilitating and creating public art, turning bare, blighted walls into artistic gateways to the community’s surrounding environment. Their collaborative dialogue processes empower artists and communities to address and organize issues in the community. They believe community art builds bridges from conceptual connection to a physical understanding, resulting in beautiful murals that inspire and motivate viewers. BAMP is responsible for painting 68 murals, empowering 26 artists and 16 different communities, with the support of 406 volunteers.
