Please join us on June 11 from 3-5 pm in The Healing Project at YBCA for a special in-person event supporting participant Keith LaMar’s fight for freedom. The event will feature Keith live via phone from Ohio State Penitentiary in conversation with Samora Pinderhughes and Amy Gordiejew from his campaign. The talk will cover trauma and healing, organizing and activism, personal agency and freedom, and more.

Keith has been held in solitary confinement for the past three decades on death row and has been given an execution date of November 16, 2023. He has maintained his innocence all this time and has discovered withheld evidence that proves he was framed by the State of Ohio. The audience will have an opportunity for Q&A and will get the latest updates in the fight for Keith’s freedom, as well as ways to get involved. The event will also feature special sound excerpts and a live performance by Samora. Keith is a key contributor to The Healing Project, and his story is featured throughout the exhibition.
