Create art inspired by exhibitions at YBCA in this series of drop-in art workshops for participants of all ages. Each workshop will be inspired by a different artist and explore the artist’s practice and art-making methods. Materials will be provided, and participants will be able to take their artwork home as a souvenir.
Use watercolor paintings to create 3D offerings in the spirit of Flores de Mayo and Spring. Participants will follow a template to assemble this mini ofrenda, and receive dried florals to place in it. This workshop is inspired by the spring season and the Annual Flores de Mayo Celebration, hosted by YBCA’s community partner SOMA Pilipinas, in the heart of the Filipino Heritage District.
