Curious to learn more about the exhibition Echo Location: The Cultural Geopolitics in South of Market? Join us on October 16 at 1 pm for a guided tour with lead curator Robin Abad Ocubillo as part of the UNDISCOVERED SF Cultural Crawl!
Echo Location: The Cultural Geopolitics in South of Market explores the neighborhood’s complicated history, while celebrating current efforts by the historically dispossessed to reclaim and direct its future. Centering the experiences of two communities whose presence has been—and continues to be—essential to the heritage of SoMa: the Filipinx and LGBTQIA2S+ communities, Echo Location narrates the ascendant influence that these two communities have on public policy, space, and services.
Echo Location is organized by the SF Urban Film Fest as part of their residency at YBCA.
UNDSCVRD Culture Crawl is a one-day celebration of the SOMA Pilipinas Cultural Heritage District with artists, creatives, food vendors, retail vendors, and wellness practitioners on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12-6 pm! For complete lineup and info, visit: undiscoveredsf.com
