Patrick Waterhouse was born in 1981 in Bath, England, and currently lives and works in Italy. Since 2003, he has produced work in a variety of different mediums, including drawings, prints, photographs, and artist’s books. Since 2006 he has been working with Fabrica, the Benetton Group’s communication research center, on a variety of projects: publishing a fully illustrated version of Dante’s Inferno; art directing Benetton’s social campaign Africa Works; and guest editing COLORS 71, Welcome to Vörland.
Waterhouse’s work has been exhibited at numerous venues, including the Iziko South African National Gallery, Cape Town (2011), the 12th International Cairo Biennale (2010), Goodman Gallery, Johannesburg (2010), and the Daimler Chrysler Collection, Berlin (2010).
