Paz G (they/them), born 1989 in Quilpue, Chile, is a self-taught ceramic sculptor based in Oakland, California. Paz makes ceramic sculptures that integrate form with spiritual transmissions of their ancestors via song, image, and poetry. Every piece is an offering. Recently, Paz’s work has been exhibited at The Contemporary Jewish Museum (San Francisco, CA), Di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art (Napa, CA), and Craft Contemporary (Los Angeles, CA). Paz will be attending the NOCE Fresca Residency in Sardinia, Italy in October 2023 and is preparing for an exhibition at Kasmin Gallery in Manhattan, NY in Autumn 2023.
