Dimitry Saïd Chamy is a designer and artist who integrates multi-disciplinary creative practices filtered through a queer, multi-cultural, mixed-race, immigrant perspective. Born in Port-au-Prince and raised in a Haïtian Lebanese family before immigrating, at 17, to the United States, his design and artworks have been shown from New Haven to Beijing, including New York City’s Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University. He has taught at six universities and been an Erasmus+ Chair at the Art Academy in Latvia. He is a Teaching Professor and Resident Artist at the Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator at Florida International University in Miami, where he also bases his studio.
