Reopening Celebration

At YBCA, we are committed to the health and well-being of our communities. Due to the growing concerns around the COVID-19 Delta variant, we have decided not to hold our public Reopening Celebration on Saturday, August 7. But we are open, starting this Thursday, August 5, and invite you to engage with art both inside and outside our spaces. Learn more about our artworks you can experience and safety protocols. We hope you stay safe and inspired as we move through these uncertain times together.

Join us on Saturday, August 7 for our reopening celebration! We can’t wait to see you in person and share new interactive artist activations, intimate conversations, pop-up performances, and more.

Some of the day’s highlights include: explorations and workshops from YBCA Senior Fellows Brett Cook and Liz Lerman, talks on the future of YBCA from CEO Deborah Cullinan and Chief of Program Meklit Hadero; the official opening of two new art experiences: SF Urban Film Fest’s Echo Location: The Cultural Geopolitics in South of Market and Anna Sergeeva’s multisensory public artwork love @ first line; and pop-up performances by SF Bay Area Theatre Company artists.
