In collaboration with Berkeley Ballet Theater, the San Francisco Girls Chorus co-presents Rightfully Ours, an evening inspired by the legacy of the women who fought for the passage of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The program will feature the Berkeley Ballet Theater performing new choreography by seven choreographers set to contemporary choral repertoire performed by SFGC, including two world premiere SFGC commissions by women composers, Angélica Negrón and Aviya Kopelman. The work will celebrate the progress made over the last century in voting rights and equality, while examining the areas where disparities continue to exist.
