Public Participation Fellows Cohort 2019-20
Tiffany Yau is a curator, community organizer, and creative producer. As a Bay Area Native, she is passionate about discovering new ways to support artists in San Francisco’s constantly evolving landscape. She spends her time cultivating creative communities, from community organizing at alternative art spaces to curating art on virtual art platforms.
At The Galallery, she manages the curatorial cohort and produces art and performance events. With the mission of supporting emerging artists and curators in a community-oriented space, she creates space and provides support for artists, many of which have exhibited their work publicly or curated a show for the first time. Currently in her role at Gray Area, she supports the nonprofit’s public-facing channels to amplify and support the work of their artist and creative community. She volunteers to help support The Secret Alley, a DIY artist space that provides a much needed community space to artists, activists, and community organizers.
