Free is a site specific public work commissioned for the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, on view from August 2011-2013.

Central to Free, which takes its inspiration from the 2011 Arab Spring movement, is a neon sign that repeats the word in English, completing its one minute circular motion repeatedly, while the Arabic word Hurr, nestled inside, has remained lit for the duration of the two year installation, invoking peace and freedom across geographies.
