Join us for a screening of Sa Amin (Our Place), a new documentary film centered on the Filipino community in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood.
Filipino community activists and multigenerational families in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood claim a right to the city as they battle displacement caused by urban renewal, real estate speculation, and tech booms, and strive to sustain the cultural heart of the Filipino-American community.
Sa Amin (Our Place) is co-directed by Dyan Ruiz and Nix Guirre, and produced by [people. power. media], and executive produced by SF Urban Film Fest.
Together, the producers have launched a crowdfunding campaign to share this important story not only with the Filipino community, but with everyone,so it becomes part of the larger story of San Francisco. Their goal is to raise $20,000 by June 26, 2022. Please contribute to our campaign here →
