Create art inspired by exhibitions at YBCA in this series of drop-in art workshops for participants of all ages. Each workshop will be inspired by a different artist and explore the artist’s practice and art-making methods. Materials will be provided, and participants will be able to take their artwork home as a souvenir.
Learn how to weave with paper, inspired by artist Ciriaco Sayoc’s public artwork SOMA Mahal Kita (SOMA I Love You) installed on YBCA’s Vestibule Banner. Participants are encouraged to incorporate personal writings in their artwork, as a way to carry on the traditions of storytelling through weaving.
