Founded in 2014, San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company (SFBATCO) is non-profit organization that produces compelling theater to build community, foster cross-cultural dialogue, promote social justice, and authentically reflect the experiences of communities of color and LGBTQIA+ people in the Bay Area. Our 2024 production of Sign My Name to Freedom was considered one of the best local productions of the year by KQED, which recognized SFBATCO as “one of the most critical developers of new work in the Bay.”
