Saharla Vetsch (she/her) is a Somali American independent dance-based artist currently rooted in the Bay Area. Saharla’s journey is deeply intertwined with her passion for dance, her exploration of intersecting identities, and her desire to engage with multiple performance art forms. Saharla’s drag persona Major Hammy (he/him) is a force of exuberance, fun, and high energy setting the stage ablaze with his lively performances. With a mix of contagious enthusiasm and a touch of cheeky charm, he aims to do more than entertain; he aspires to inspire audiences to join in the communal celebration of movement and self-expression.
