Peter Fend, born in 1950 in the United States, is a multimedia artist living and working in Berlin, New Zealand, and Italy. In 1980 he cofounded the art and research organization Ocean Earth Construction and Development Corporation along with Coleen Fitzgibbon, Jenny Holzer, Peter Nadin, Richard Prince, and Robin Winters. Fend has shown his work continually since 1978, participating in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including at The Kitchen, New York (1982), Kunstraum Daxer, Munich, Germany (1991), Le Case D’Arte, Milan (1992), Mars Gallery, Tokyo (2001), White Columns, New York (2015), and the 1999 Venice Biennale.
