Camille Henrot combines anthropological research with a range of cultural fragments utilizing digital media sources, drawings, photography, and sculpture. She analyzes systems of visual information sourced from a wide array of historical events. Researching across disciplines, Henrot is able to foster links between seemingly disparate systems of knowledge. She is the 2014 winner of the Nam June Paik award, and she was also nominated for the 2014 Hugo Boss Prize. Her recent solo exhibitions include Cities of Ys at the New Orleans Museum of Art (2014), The Restless Earth at the New Museum, New York (2014), and The Pale Fox at Chisenhale Gallery, London (2014). Her film works have been exhibited in group exhibitions and have been screened at festivals at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London (2014), Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012), and the Musée du Louvre, Paris (2010), among other venues.
