Robert Barber, born in 1974, was raised in Las Vegas, NV, but has lived in San Francisco since 1997. He worked as both a clerk and a tarot card reader at the Psychic Eye Book Shops in Las Vegas as well as San Francisco, and currently can be found working at Crystal Way in the Castro District. For many years he was the stage manager at Trannyshack, both at The Stud Bar and at The DNA Lounge; he also co-created Peaches Christ Productions with drag legend Peaches Christ, and was producer for all stage productions from 2010-2022, as well as executive producer of the feature film All About Evil, directed by Joshua Grannell. Robert has dedicated much of the last nearly forty years to studying Western esotericism, in particular astrology, Kabbalah, and the Tarot, and the indisputable links between them. He lives in the Haight-Ashbury with his husband and co-creator of the Modern Queer Tarot, John Callaghan.
