Ade Lewis (b. 2000, San Francisco) is a portrait illustrator, animator, and storyteller who is passionate about travel, representation, and advocacy. Inspired by pop culture, cartoons, and music, Lewis merges his figurative technical skill with comprehensive worldbuilding to create scenes imbued with magical realism. Lewis is currently attending City College for acting, choir, and art, and has been working with Creativity Explored since 2018.
Working primarily in watercolor, marker, and pen, Lewis draws detailed portraits of models from fashion magazines and celebrities in popular films. After returning to CE post-pandemic, he began using the medium of animation to tell stories.
Lewis’ work debuted at Creativity Explored in Fabulate!, a fashion show and gallery exhibition in 2018, where he participated as a runway model as well as a featured artist. Since then, he has been featured in a number of exhibitions at Creativity Explored and throughout San Francisco, including Mode Brut at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2021.
