Conversation between Bay Area Now 8 artists Woody De Othello and Cate White at YBCA Free Third Thursdays. Woody De Othello creates ceramic sculptures that anthropomorphize household objects as carriers of emotional states, in a distinctly “slumpy energy, Woody-fied” manner. Cate White uses figure, comedy, and self-exposure in paintings of her friends, neighbors, and communities on society’s margins.
