Cesar Cadabes is a Hawaii born and raised, San Francisco-based Queer, Filipino-American writer and solo performance artist committed to amplifying voices of Queer Asian and Pacific Islanders through storytelling performances and mentoring. In June 2021, he premiered a workshop performance of his first full length one-man show, Not My First Pandemic at the BRAVA Theater. He has presented “Coming to America” and “Anal Sex” for the Resilience Archives’ Performing Visible Resilience series. In 2018 he performed #Resist at Bindlestiff Studio for the National Queer Arts Festival and at Kearny Street Workshop’s APAture Performing Arts Showcase. César is a recipient of an Individual Artist Commission grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission. He is currently the Artistic Director for the GLBTQ Asian Pacific Alliance (GAPA) Theatre Collective and has produced their work in collaboration with the Asian Art Museum and the Asian Pacific Cultural Center.
