Joseph Omolayole (b. 1978) is a fashion designer, educator, and interdisciplinary artist with a focus on figurative work. He has been actively creating artwork at Creativity Explored for almost a decade and has a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Skyline College. He is drawn to the crossover of nature and fashion, incorporating animal prints, textures, and movements across mediums, which include painting, digital art, and sculpture. He’s best known for his life-sized Dancers, a series of kinetic fabric sculptures that evolve into a new composition with each installation.
Since joining Creativity Explored a decade ago, Omolayole has participated in over a dozen group exhibitions, including at the Bedford Gallery and at the Oakland Museum of California. Omolayole was also a featured artist in FORSITE’s recent exhibition, Black Gold: Stories Untold at San Francisco’s historic Fort Point.
