Tuva Gonsholt lives and works in Skien, Norway. She was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, Bornholm (2003). In 2008, she established Tuva Glass, a cold-working studio at Spriten Kunsthall in Skien. Her work is represented in numerous public and private collections, including the National Museum and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Oslo, KODE, and the Nordenfjeldske Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, as well as international glass museums such as the European Museum of Modern Glass (Germany) and Musée du Verre Charleroi (Belgium). She has received several awards, including 1st Prize for ART #02 at Connections 2025 : Glass From Every Angle in Texas, USA.

Gonsholt works at the intersection of nature, observation, and glass, combining technical precision with experimental approaches to material, form and color. She borrows shapes, patterns, and colors from the natural world, and interprets them through her own visual language: Insects and other strange creatures are the inspiration for my work. I transform the decorations, shapes or colours into something of my own artistic expression.
