Hitoshi Shigeta is an artist, art teacher, and cartoonist. He received an MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from Osaka University of Arts, Japan. He has taught art/design in the U.S. and Japan, including San Francisco State University and San Francisco Art Institute. Currently he is Senior Teaching Artist at the de Young Museum, teaching and facilitating art activities for a wide range of visitors from school age children to senior citizens. He also develops art projects for SF Recreation and Park events.
