LOGJAM CAFÉ, located just inside YBCA’s front doors, is an extension of and indoctrination into the world of the renowned sculptor Tom Sachs.

Part site-specific installation, part café, it brings a glimpse of the artist’s New York studio to South of Market.

The centerpiece of Logjam Café is a custom coffee cart built in collaboration with Peddler NY, plus movies and playlists selected by the artist and special guests. In addition to coffee from the Brooklyn-based boutique roaster Lofted Coffee, Sachs’ tightly curated menu offers whiskey, mezcal, Tecate, and a vacuum-sealed marriage of an Oreo and a Ritz cracker: the Ritzeo. The café also sells all things Tom Sachs, including books, zines, stickers, and T-shirts.

Logjam offers a firsthand experience of Sachs’ obsession with the tools of his craft and introduces visitors into the Sachs studio systems. Guests can grab a drink and practice the “screw sort of the day” using the logjam kits under the guidance of the studio team.

Logjam Café is free and open to the public throughout the run of the Space Program: Europa exhibition.
