Gallery Hours & Admission
YBCA presents a schedule of rotating exhibitions each year with a focus on contemporary and emerging artists from the Bay Area and beyond, community-based work and the intersection between fine art and popular culture.

Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun: noon – 5 pm
Thu: noon – 8 pm
Closed Mondays and major holidays.
Admission
When all galleries are open:
$7 regular/$5 seniors, students & teachers
FREE for YBCA Members
When galleries are partially open:
$5 regular/$3 seniors, students & teachers

YBCA is dedicated to finding and presenting provocative and challenging art.
We do this without warning.

FREE First Tuesday
YBCA galleries are FREE to the public on the first Tuesday of every month.
FREE First Tuesday is made possible in part by YBCA's Directors Forum Members.
Gallery Tours
Tours for groups of 10 or more are available for $1 off the appropriate gallery admission price. Advance reservations are required. Call 415.321.1310 or via email.

Opening Night Parties
It’s truly a scene at YBCA as we kick off each exhibition with an Opening Night Party featuring live entertainment, film screenings and cash bars. See the Exhibitions section for party details.
Opening Night Party Ticket Prices:
First Floor Gallery Openings
$12 in advance/$15 at the door
Terrace Gallery Openings
$8 in advance/$10 at the door
Backpacks
For security reasons, backpacks and large bags are not permitted in the galleries. Please check these items at the Information Desk before entering the galleries.
Photography
Photography is not permitted in the galleries at any time.
Coat Check
Coats and other large items may be checked at the Information Desk anytime during gallery hours.
Special Programs
YBCA offers special brochures, audio tours via cell phone and other special programs for select exhibitions. Please inquire at the Information Desk for special programs related to the current exhibitions.
