With your gift starting at $2,500, you can name a seat in the Blue Shield of California Theater!

By participating in YBCA Take a Seat, you can have a seat in the Blue Shield of California Theater named after you, a loved one, a cherished memory – anything or anyone! It’s your chance to celebrate the arts, commemorate a special moment, and make your support for YBCA known in a special and lasting way.

Will I be able to sit in the named seat for performances?
We are unable to guarantee that you’ll sit in your named seat during performances.
How long will my plaque dedication be in place?
Your seat plaque dedication will be in place for a minimum of 5 years.
What inscription can be included on the seat plaque?
Your plaque dedication may feature the name of a person, family or business. It may include “In Honor of” or “In Memory of.” These inscriptions are for names only. YBCA reserves the right to approve all inscriptions.
How many characters can be included in my plaque dedication?
Plaques can accommodate two lines, 24 characters per line including spaces.
What is the price for naming a seat?
Seat plaque dedications start at $2,500 for balcony seats and $5,000 for orchestra seats. Seats named in perpetuity are also available.
This five-year seat nameplate sponsorship at the Blue Shield of California Theater (the “Theater”) is being offered to recognize certain donations made to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (“YBCA”). YBCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) institution. Federal Tax ID 94-3042571. In accordance with Internal Revenue Service guidelines, no gifts or services were provided in exchange for this contribution. Your donation is eligible for tax-deduction within the guidelines of United States law. Please consult your tax advisor for more information. Your donation does not entitle you to ownership or a leasehold interest in any seat at the Theater, nor does it entitle you to special access, tickets, or particular seat assignments at the Theater. If your sponsorship donation is made on behalf of a business, your sponsorship shall not constitute an endorsement by the YBCA of your business, product or service, and cannot be used by you as such. You agree to hold harmless YBCA for any liabilities arising out of your participation in this opportunity.
