With Jillian Crochet and Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Programs (BORP)

Join us for a free artist and curator-led accessibility tour of Bay Area Now 9. This will be a slow-paced tour of YBCA’s signature triennial, with visual descriptions and tactile exploration to increase accessibility of the artwork for blind and low vision people—and everyone!

Get up close and personal with the artworks as our curator shares insights into the artists’ creative processes and the historical context that shaped their vision. Discover hidden gems within the exhibition that you might have missed on your own. And, uncover the subtle details that make each piece extraordinary

Masks will be required to ensure equitable access for any immunocompromised or medically vulnerable community members. YBCA is accessible for wheelchair users and is .3 miles from the Montgomery BART stop. For YBCA access questions please email: [email protected]

A few spots may be available for transportation on the BORP bus from the Ed Roberts campus in Berkeley. Participants must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask. To check availability for transportation and sign necessary forms, please email [email protected] by Thursday, April 18.
